HR Benefits Administrator

Our client is currently seeking a knowledgeable and people-oriented Benefits Administrator to join their Human Resources department!

The Benefits Administrator will support a workforce that’s making a real impact in the community. You will develop our total compensation package by comparing our offerings to those of other organizations, ensuring that staff have access to robust benefits. Our staff will look to you for guidance as they choose, enroll in, and utilize benefits programs.

The Benefits Administrator role is ideal for an individual who has a few years of benefits-related experience and is enthusiastic about employee wellness. We look forward to hearing from you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain contact with insurance carriers, employees, and beneficiaries to facilitate utilization of benefits.
  • Travel to other company site locations in Bethlehem, Orwigsburg, Plymouth Meeting and Feasterville, PA.
  • Administer group insurance programs including health/vision/prescription/dental insurance, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, life insurance, disability coverage, and voluntary benefit plans.
  • Perform claims resolution, change reporting, timely invoice resolution and approval, and communication of benefits information to employees.
  • Manage human capital management system. Generate reports for analytics.
  • Conduct open enrollment meetings in each regional office location.
  • Track benefit eligibility requirements to ensure timely enrollment and removal from benefit programs.
  • Compare existing company benefits with other employers. Plan, develop, and/or participate in area and industry surveys. Analyze survey results and develop recommendations for management review.
  • Update virtual onboarding system and process related to benefit programs as needed.
  • Oversee COBRA benefits administration and manage the third-party carrier.
  • Administer leave programs. Develop and install new or modified leave programs and policies.
  • Develop benefits information and statistical and census data for actuaries/audits, insurance carriers, and management.
  • Administer company wellness program and act as chair of the Wellness Committee.
  • Maintain and support the 401K program.


  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a related field such as human resources, business, etc. (required)
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience administering benefits with a related degree; 4+ years of experience with an unrelated degree (required)
  • Knowledge of applicable state and federal benefit related laws (required)
  • Experience using HRMS/HCMS, especially in relation to benefits (required)
  • Valid driver’s license with 2+ years of driving experience, reliable vehicle, and adequate car insurance (required)
